    EMDR Therapist | LGBTQIA+ Affirming | Trauma & Neurodivergence-Informed | Sex Therapy-Informed

I believe therapy begins with trust and safety. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where all parts of you are welcome. I view you as the expert in your own life and use empathy, curiosity, and evidence-based practices to help support your healing and growth.

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in cultural humility. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and the nuanced challenges that come with neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism. I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to support clients in processing and healing from trauma. EMDR can be especially effective in reducing the emotional intensity of painful memories, supporting nervous system regulation, and increasing a sense of safety and resilience.

I also incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients identify unhelpful internalized beliefs and move toward values-based living. This includes gently exploring where messages of shame and guilt were first learned—and how we can begin to unlearn them.

As a clinician with specialized training in sex therapy, I understand that sexuality is a central part of the human experience. It’s deeply personal and often shaped by culture, family systems, trauma histories, and unspoken expectations. I provide a supportive space for clients to explore their sexual identity, experiences, and questions without fear of judgment. This may include processing religious or cultural shame, navigating desire discrepancies, understanding arousal patterns, unpacking sexual pain or dysfunction, or simply reconnecting with pleasure.

Whether you're curious about your sexuality, healing from sexual trauma, exploring kink or non-traditional relationship structures, or just want a more fulfilling sex life, I offer affirming, evidence-informed care rooted in consent, body autonomy, and personal empowerment. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and am proud to provide LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergent-informed, and sex-positive therapy.

    CSW, SUDC
    LGBTQ+ Affirming | Trauma-Informed | Sex Therapy & Recovery Specialist

I am a Certified Social Worker (CSW) and licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor (SUDC) who brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work. As a gay man who came out later in life, I bring a unique, embodied understanding of identity integration, stigma, spiritual recovery, and relational authenticity. My healing journey—marked by long-term recovery from addiction, religious disaffiliation, and reconnection to a joyful sense of self—deeply informs my therapeutic presence and cultural humility.

I earned both my Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from the University of Utah, graduating magna cum laude in my undergraduate program. I have advanced training in human sexuality, LGBTQ+ mental health, trauma treatment, and motivational interviewing.

I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, trauma survivors, and people in recovery who are navigating concerns such as sexual shame, desire discrepancies, intimacy challenges, identity development, and the long-term impact of stigma or secrecy. My practice draws from evidence-based modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Mindfulness-Oriented Recovery Enhancement (MORE), always grounded in relational, affirming, and social justice-informed care.

I offer a nonjudgmental, supportive space for clients to reclaim self-compassion, foster authentic connection, and explore their sexual and emotional wellness.

    Kink-Aware & Culturally Affirming Therapist

Just like we go to the doctor for regular check-ups, our minds—something we rely on every single day—deserve the same level of care and attention. Therapy isn’t only for times of crisis; it’s also about proactively building resilience, clarity, and emotional strength. I believe therapy should be honest, real, and—yes—sometimes a little uncomfortable. But that discomfort is where real growth happens.

My therapeutic style is direct, compassionate, and collaborative. I won’t shy away from naming the hard stuff, but I’ll always meet you with empathy and a warm sense of humor to help make the work feel human and approachable. If you're a fellow nerd, you'll find that I love integrating elements of gaming, storytelling, and pop culture into our sessions—it’s a creative way to explore identity, values, and meaning.

I bring a deep understanding of the complexities that come with navigating intergenerational expectations, trauma, identity, and cultural pressures. My approach is grounded in cultural humility, and I honor the wisdom and lived experience each client brings into the room.

As a kink-aware and affirming therapist, I provide a nonjudgmental space for clients exploring their sexuality, relationship structures, or identities. Whether you're engaging in exploration, healing from shame, or seeking support in navigating relational dynamics, I strive to create a therapeutic environment where all parts of you are welcome—your strength, your vulnerability, your curiosity, and your complexity.

I work with individuals and couples of all backgrounds and am especially passionate about supporting those in the LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, neurodivergent, and kink communities. Together, we’ll work at your pace to uncover what’s getting in your way and build a path toward the life you want to live—one grounded in self-understanding, acceptance, and freedom.
